Intelligence Comes From Meaning. The Brain, Is THE Physical AI. Your BiologicalProcessing Unitsare here.

BPUs are living neurons grown on silicon and put to work as processors. The first ones are smell processors. A smell processor reads the molecules in the air and turns them into meaning a machine can act on.

Smell Processor

Meet the Konikore. In the talk below it rides a robot dog through a live demo.

Osh Agabi presents the Konikore smell processor on a robot dog at Amazon’s re:MARS conference in Ojai, California, with a live demo. Open on YouTube Koniku is not affiliated with Jeff Bezos, either personally or through his investments, nor with re:MARS or its organizers. Their presence at the event does not mean they endorse Koniku or its products.

Past and Present Customers, and Research and Manufacturing Partners

Logos identify organizations Koniku has worked with, past or present, as a customer or as a research or manufacturing partner. They belong to their owners and are shown for identification only. Their display is not a representation that any organization endorses Koniku or its products, is a current customer or partner, or speaks for Koniku.

Koniku in the News

You’ve Heard of the CPU and the GPU.Meet the BPU.

A BPU does its processing with living neurons. Koniku grows them on silicon, engineers them with receptors for the task, and turns their signals into data that software can use.

BPUs do their best work embedded in the real world, taking in the high-dimensional data it produces as it happens.

The BPU is the family. Smell processors are one branch of it, and we fondly call ours the Konikore. Developers will choose what BPUs do next.

The family

BPU

noun. Biological Processing Unit.

A processor whose computing elements are living neurons, grown on silicon and read as data. Made by Koniku.

A branch

Smell Processor

noun.

A BPU built to read chemistry and turn it into meaning.

Ours

Konikore

Koniku’s smell processor, the one riding the robot dog in the talk above.

Build on BPUs.

We’re opening the BPU platform to developers who want to build companies on it. Sign up and we’ll bring you in as access opens, online first. Hands-on sessions run in the US and need photo ID.

Things People Have Asked Us For

  • A home sensor for the smells residents stop noticing
  • Sharing the smell of a dish someone posts
  • A smell processor riding on a robot
  • A drone that surveys for chemical threats

Safety, Security, Intelligence and Defence.

SSID

The Konikore is a BPU smell processor, and it finds threats by the molecules they give off. If you work in safety, security, intelligence or defence and have a compound you need to find, tell us what it is and we’ll set up a test.

In an airport check-in scenario, it flagged all 17 suitcase checks containing the explosive TATP, with 3 false alarms on 16 clean checks: 91% accuracy across 33 checks.
